China Family Tree & My Family Tree

This is the china family tree compared to my family tree. I only have found out that your only allowed 1 child in China. I have read a article called Millions and Millions of people. The thing I have learnt was that most of the families in china have a small amount of members. We had to make a DLO based about showing people what it looks like if we compare our family tree to the china family tree.

River Safety - Lesson 3

This is my DLO that I did with my partner Ana. This is about river safety. There are rules on here that link to the river, and also there are activities that people do while there at the river. This is our third task that we did based on river safety.

Annyong Means "Hi"

This is a DLO that me and my partner Cecillia has done. This is our DLO based on comparing schools from New Zealand and schools in Korea. The thing that I got surprised of while finding facts about schools in Korea was that they only have sand and concrete, but if we compare it to ours we have grass. The most exhausting thing about Korea was that at college they have 16 hours but comparing it to Nz college schools is that we only have 7 in a half hours in college.

River Safety - Lesson 2

This is my DLO that Cecillia and I did about river safety. We have worked on why you shouldn't cross the river and also about check about what you should need and what you shouldn't need. I have learnt that you shouldn't wear heavy clothes while your in a bush walk, because apparently if you get pushed in the water in heavy clothing you can have a serious problem of drowning.

This is my screenshot based on water safety. This is all about keeping safe near the sea. Nz is the place were you should watch out because most people live near the water, and when you live near the water you need to know to keep safe around it. Here are some examples of being safe around the water.

7 Times Tables

This is my photo showing that i'm trying to learn my 7 times tables. I tried racing myself doing my 7 times tables in 1 minute. I raced myself three times and my highest record was in 36 seconds. My first try racing myself was in 17 seconds, and my second turn was done in 29 seconds.

Ballad Poems - 6 Hats

This is my groups DLO based about the Ballad Poems. A Balled Poem is a poem that is been said by someone. The poem is put into 5 different video's based on the Ballad poems. We as a group completed this task under 6 thinking hats.

Shoes Narritive

I see the sunlight directly flashing straight in my eyes, as I just woke up. All of a sudden I heard loud footsteps coming towards my shoe box. I felt like the owner wasn't going to care about me in the middle of the shoe box then just stand on me and squish me like nothing happened. As I got squished from my owner,  I got kicked outside and apparently I landed on dog poo. Seconds later the heavy wind blew me towards a bird near the streets, and on the other side of the street I see another pair of lonely shoes...

China Poster

This is my poster that I did on China. There are 4 groups doing different kinds of Countries and my group is China with Mrs Anderson. I had to find out 5 facts about about China and I also had to find a map about were China is in the 2 world.

Kyle Mewburn

This is my poster about the visit of Kyle Mewburn. Kyle Mewburn is a Author that writes stories for kids. The best book I like out of all of his books is KISS! KISS! YUCK! YUCK! In that story it talks about a boy that hates getting kissed with bright red lipstick on his face by his Aunt Elsie. I learnt that he has struggled to write a few book but he never gave up he carried on writing more and more books.

The Great Wall of China

This is my collage showing the Great Wall of China. For inquiry there are 4 groups that go to certain countries like China, India, Japan & Thailand. I am in the group about China and in that group I have learnt lots about there culture and there flag. The thing that I have learnt was that you only can have 1 boy in China but you can't get a new born baby girl. The rules about China is that if you get a new baby girl you will have to take it to a different country and the new baby girl will have to sadly die.

Blue Whale - Information Report

This week in writing we have been learning about what the structure for a information report is. We have highlighted the structure tool to know what is what, for a example Introduction, conclusion and more. I have learnt lots especially how to structure a information report.

Synthesizing

This is my poster about Synthesizing, Synthesizing is taking what we know then putting things in a different way. What I did was creating a cover for a biography of Albert Einstein using what we already knew about them and what we found out after researching. The new information helped us think about what their picture would look like, what the title might be and what background would match their achievements.

The man took the subway to his subcellar. On his way he stopped to check out a submarine submerging down to the subterranean, subzero water. When he received a call that he could study about the substratum under the earth's soil. Than he received mail from the subordinate staff, he suddenly felt his heart subvert as he read the daily subtitle.

Today's task was to find words in the dictionary that makes sense of being below or under like for a example Submarine. As you can see my group worked collaboratively to finish completing this word wall. The thing was that the word had to start with sub. It took long to complete this but we all worked as a group to get it completed.

This is my DLO about How To Stand Up To Bullies. This is one of the activities that had to be done in the Care Awards Booklet. This shows a bit of information about how you can standing up to bullies. If something happens like this go to someone in your family that is older then you. Don't be afraid to stand up to bullies just be proud.
