My First Trip To Wellington

I was really happy when I first heard that I was going to Wellington with my family because it would have been our first time there. In the morning when the sun rose my family went to have breakfast and quickly dashed for a shower. We waited for our driver to arrive. Bee Beep!! the horn went. “Come on lets go” I shouted. “Yippee” I said in a loud voice “we are going to Wellington for the first time”.

We went to the bus stop and waited and waited till the right bus to Wellington came. The bus arrived at eight o’ clock. We hopped on the bus and away we went. On the bus was my aunty, uncle, my family and other passengers.

The bus had stopped at a place so the people on the bus could have a little lunch. My family had gone outside and ate something from in the bag. Yummy, chips to eat crunch crunch. We hopped on the bus again and away we went. We went on the bus and had a little nap till the next stop.

“Yay” we stopped again and my family stayed in the bus to relax before we got to Wellington. Some people hopped off the bus and away we went. When they hopped off the bus there were more chairs for other passengers to sit on.

Oh no our bus broke down and it was nearly dark. Our bus kept on going slow because something blew up at the back of the bus. I was shaking because I thought we wouldn’t make it. The bus driver rang another bus to come and find out what had happened. My uncle went outside and saw my auntie in the other bus with her husband and her kids.

“Oh come on you gotta be kidding me” I shouted. We had to go back the other way to borrow a Turangi bus. We went on the Turangi bus so we had to go back where we came back from.

No! it’s dark. I fell asleep on the bus while it stopped for more passengers. I was so exhausted by sitting down the whole time. The bus stopped again and some passengers hopped off the bus. We arrived at the bus stop.

“Yippee” here we are in Wellington. It was a long trip but tiring at the same time. I am so happy that we made it. Finally my family made it to Wellington. We went in my aunties van to go to the marae to stay there for four days.
