Godwit - Poplet

Today for inquiry my partner Victoria and I have created a poppet. Our task for today was to find out information about God wits. We had to find out their Diet, Habitat, Appearance and Behavior. My partner and I have worked collaboratively to get this DLO completed. We have learnt so much about God wits. 

Paper Plane

For Inquiry yesterday we got put into groups to work collaboratively together based on making paper planes. Our topic was all about flight, and based on that topic our task was to create a paper plane to see how far it goes. We were using our searching skills to find sites about how to make paper planes. Our group has finally completed making a paper plane so we have tried flying our planes off the deck, but when that happened our plane went straight down heading to the ground. We failed and failed alot of times but the thing is that we all never gave up. 

Jean Batten

This week our inquiry was based on Jean Batten. My partner Victoria and I have worked collaboratively on our timeline about Jean Batten. We both have used out smart searching skills to find out information about Jean Batten and while using our smart searching skills we have learnt that she didn't die till the age of 73. We have learnt lots and we have worked together to get this DLO completed.

Smart Searching Challenge

This is my presentation that I did with my partner Jessie. We have made a DLO based on Basketball in the Golden State. My partner and I have been working collaboratively on this DLO to get it completed. Our task was to ask ourselves questions then answer them. We have found out that the best top Basketball player in the Golden State is Stephen Curry.

Hydration vs Dyhydration

This is my DLO that I did with my partner Victoria. We have been working on what the difference is between Dehydration and Hydration. We have been working collaboratively together on this DLO to get it completed. We have learnt that the meaning for Dehydration is that, your not drinking enough water. We also found out that the meaning for Hydration is that you receive a lot of water in your body to keep yourself focused on your work. Me and my partner has learnt a lot about Dehydration and Hydration.

Ancient & Modern Olympics

This is my Venn diagrame that I did with my partners Angela and Savelina. I learnt what is different and the same about the Ancient Olympics and the Modern Olympics. I found that the Similarity's of these both subjects. This was easy & I had fun Learning about the two subjects.

Hauora Follow Up

Here is my Hauora follow up. I was with Mrs Anderson and we were learning about the 4 walls of Hauora. The 4 walls are Taha Tinana, Taha Wairua, Taha Hinengaro and Taha Whanau. 

Attributing Images

Today I was working on a DLO on attributing images mainly based on the Olympics. The Olympics is in 1 week an a half. That is only reason why we were mainly attributing on images based on the Olympics. The thing you have to remember is to make sure your photo is labeled for reuse.

Thailand - Inquiry

This is my Thailand DLO that I did with my partners Tiare and Victoria. We have learnt lots about Thailand. Me and my partners have learnt lots about the language challenge. The women and the mens in Thailand have different endings with words.

Inquiry - China

This is my DLO that I did with my partner Victoria, we did it based on our learning which was the global neighbors. We were learning things based about China. We have worked collaborative to get this completed. We learnt that the red stars represent's the rich and the poor. We also learnt that your only allowed 1 child because that is one of the rules for China.

Inquiry - Japan

This is my DLO I did with my partner Victoria. As you can see the heading, we were in the Japan group with Mr Wong. I Have learnt lots about Japan. I have learnt that the red dot in the middle represents the sun. The white on the flag represents honesty purity and also integrity.

India DLO - Inqury

This is my DLO I did with my partner Victoria. For inquiry this term we have been learning about Global Neighbours. This week I was in India with Mrs Naicker. We have researched the traditional clothing back in 1900 to now.

River Safety - Lesson 3

This is my DLO that I did with my partner Ana. This is about river safety. There are rules on here that link to the river, and also there are activities that people do while there at the river. This is our third task that we did based on river safety.

River Safety - Lesson 2

This is my DLO that Cecillia and I did about river safety. We have worked on why you shouldn't cross the river and also about check about what you should need and what you shouldn't need. I have learnt that you shouldn't wear heavy clothes while your in a bush walk, because apparently if you get pushed in the water in heavy clothing you can have a serious problem of drowning. 

China Poster

This is my poster that I did on China. There are 4 groups doing different kinds of Countries and my group is China with Mrs Anderson. I had to find out 5 facts about about China and I also had to find a map about were China is in the 2 world.

The Great Wall of China

This is my collage showing the Great Wall of China. For inquiry there are 4 groups that go to certain countries like China, India, Japan & Thailand. I am in the group about China and in that group I have learnt lots about there culture and there flag. The thing that I have learnt was that you only can have 1 boy in China but you can't get a new born baby girl. The rules about China is that if you get a new baby girl you will have to take it to a different country and the new baby girl will have to sadly die.

This is my DLO I did with my partner Tiare. We had to do a DLO based on the Bus Strike. As you can see there are messages written based on the characters in the article such as the Police and also the Bus Driver. I was working hard on this DLO representing the 2 different views from 2 sides.

Home Work

This is my home learning that I did with my partner Victoria and Evelyn. This week we had to find out what the building was called. To complete this homework we had to use the 5w's. The building is called the Great Mosque Of Herat. This amazing building is located in Afghanistan.

What I am good at

This is my google drawing about what I am good at. As you can see I am good at 2 things. To make me good at these things I work hard to make me good at it. In netball I have worked my hardest to let my team win all the time because I was GS ( Goal Shoot).
