Kiwi Sport (Run, Jump, Throw)

Today the year 7 and 8's had Kiwi Sport with Andy. We were learning to get our skills right on the difference between sprints and a distance run. The difference between the sprints and a distance run, is that when your getting ready in position for sprints, you use blocks. All you need to say for when your in sprints is, On your mark, GO (Thats when the gun goes BOOM). The difference for a distance run, is that you need to step 1m away from the line, then when the caller says On your mark, you have to bring one of your leg forward like your squishing a bug and wait till the caller calls out "Set" then thats when you lift your heal up at the back and also getting your hand in position. The thing you have to do when your in a distance race is that you have to put your opposite arm to your leg in position.

Today's lesson with Andy was a lot of fun! I can see from your blurb that you listened carefully to the skills she was teaching us. Please go back and change the word relay to distance. The comparisons were between sprint starts and distance starts.

Yes Mrs Anderson it was a lot of fun. I have gone back and checked it Mrs Anderson. Thanks for keeping an eye out on my mistakes.
