Orienteering

This is my photo showing that I'm concentrating on getting all letters clipped on my paper for orienteering. It was a good experience for me to try hard for the inter school orienteering. My time was 10 minutes and 08 seconds. My goal for orienteering is to try hard to get all letters clipped before 10 minutes and 08 seconds.

Thailand - Inquiry

This is my Thailand DLO that I did with my partners Tiare and Victoria. We have learnt lots about Thailand. Me and my partners have learnt lots about the language challenge. The women and the mens in Thailand have different endings with words.

Current Events

This is my current events that I did on voting on leaving or staying in the EU.  I have gave a consequence (Point of View) about why it affected the Britain voting on whether they should stay or stand alone.

Speech

Greetings to you all. I will be talking to you today about the importance of Education. Do you know what being a true scholar is? Do you know what education is? Education is the best progress of achieving the best quality of life. By education, you get to know new things. The reason why school is here for kids, is because education is where we can get the knowledge. Did you know that education provides us with many types of knowledge and skills?

Education for us at this age, is really important. To get you to a high standard, EDUCATION FIRST. Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change your life. Getting education is very necessary to get a happy life. Our parents make us learn many things at home. Our home is the first education, where we learn how to behave to one another.

We should make our habits of learning all the time, throughout the life of our teachers, parents, family members, friends and also others that you're related to in life. We learn to become a good person, learn to live a life with a good progress. Attending school and receiving education is extremely good for those who want to achieve success.

The more knowledge we get, we grow and grow even more in life. Being well educated not only means to earn certificates and good salary. However it also means to be a good and social person in the life.

Education not only makes us able to learn about history, science, math, geography, and other subjects however it makes us smart enough to learn how to live life and handle bad situations. EDUCATION IS YOUR FIRST PRIORITY.

I was reading my speech and while reading it I had confidence in myself. Afu, Reon & Ma'ata has worked collaboratively judging me with my speech. I have used expression in my speech but I need to work on knowing my speech off by heart.

Orienteering

This is a photo that Mrs Anderson took while the year 8's were focusing on getting all letters clipped from on the paper. We were doing orienteering and we had to find letters that were showing from on the map, but the thing is that we had to make sure we do the letters in order. You have to make sure that your facing the map the right way which is pointing towards North. You also have to remember to get all letters clipped to move on to another course.

Blog Commenting - Glen Brae

Every week we rotate about what school we comment on. This week I have done my comments I did on Glen Brae's Blog. I have commented on 3 students blogs which are Sam, Maara and also Mata. I have given them feedback about whats good about there blog.

Logo Design

This is my DLO that I did based on our Forgotten Silver. I have chosen to design a logo Majestic lion pictures. I have used different effects, different layouts and also different types of colour effects.

Transum

During the holidays I decided to play transum to learn my 7 and 6 times tables. This is my screenshot about me doing my 7 and 6 times tables. I have played a game that was on transum and it is called Beating The Clock. I have tried to follow my goals, which was to learn my 7 and 6 times tables fast enough to race myself to make me get my answer all correct.

Reading - Smog

This week for reading we have been talking about the super smog in China. We were given this follow up to complete. We had to use things like Text - Self Text - Text & Text - World to complete this task. While I was reading through this article and I saw a picture with a lady looking at a phone during the smog, that picture reminded me that doctors in the hospital wear the same mask.

Scratch - Pong Ball

This is my pong game that I did on scratch based on digital tech. I have created my pong game using different sprites(Characters). The instruction is to bounce the ball off the green paddle. If you hit the red then your out, but it will give you scores at the top left. 

Blog Comments

Today we have got given an instruction to comment on people's blogs from Tamaki Primary. I have commented on Maui, Calais and Kenneth's blog. I have commented on there blog's to give them feedback and feedfoward.

This is my DLO on the pollution in China. I have made a DLO based on what the instructions were to do on this activity I have 3 photos and I have explained what I had to do to make me get a high score.

Who Killed The Dinosaurs? - Writing

Inquiry - China

This is my DLO that I did with my partner Victoria, we did it based on our learning which was the global neighbors. We were learning things based about China. We have worked collaborative to get this completed. We learnt that the red stars represent's the rich and the poor. We also learnt that your only allowed 1 child because that is one of the rules for China.

Inquiry - Japan

This is my DLO I did with my partner Victoria. As you can see the heading, we were in the Japan group with Mr Wong. I Have learnt lots about Japan. I have learnt that the red dot in the middle represents the sun. The white on the flag represents honesty purity and also integrity.

India DLO - Inqury

This is my DLO I did with my partner Victoria. For inquiry this term we have been learning about Global Neighbours. This week I was in India with Mrs Naicker. We have researched the traditional clothing back in 1900 to now.

Word Clines - Reading

This is one of work that I haven't put on my blog yet, It has been sitting in my drive for days. Anyway this is my work that I have done based on our reading can do's. We have got given a task to find a word and describe that word. I have chosen the word cold, and as you can see I have described what that word means. This task is called Word Clines.

Transum

 My maths group is learning to solve division by sharing. This morning my maths group was learning there times tables on transum. I am trying to learn my 7 times tables fast enough to time myself. I was having a competition with Jessie, the challenge was to try and beat the clock. I get better and better every week by challenging myself and making mistakes. I learn by my mistakes then I improve on it by learning my 7 times tables every week.

Pollution - Synthesizing

This is my my connection to synthesizing to the pollution in China. For reading this morning, Mrs Anderson set up a following task for us to do. What I learned from the pollution in China was that they don't have school for the kids and that don't give them a good education.
